Below you can review the archived bits of news we once highlighted on our home page.
Make your own video starting at only $30/year!
Using www.animoto.com, we created a music video highlighting our recent experience walking 60 miles in three days for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
It's very easy to create your own video.
Upload your images.
Order them.
Insert text where you want.
Add your music.
Wait a few minutes while the program assembles the video.
You can edit it as many times as you want and in the end, for as little as $30/year, it gives you the code to insert the video on your website. You can even try a 30 second video for free!
Owners Don and Mary Beth Hirsch believe in being active, giving members of their community.
On November 5 - 7, they both participated in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure. They walked roughly 20 miles per day. To participate, Out of Nowhere raised over $4,600 for the Foundation and have trained for months.
Both of their mothers are breast cancer survivors. This was their second year to participate in the 3-Day.

Sharing Widgets
We know you've seen them. They are standard on all the new websites we do. These are little graphics that allow your site visitors to share your site with others on social networks.
Are these appropriate for all sites? Even sites that don't Tweet or have a Facebook page?
ABSOLUTELY! Just because your business is not active in social networking doesn't mean that your visitors are not. The widgets are not intrusive and don't require interaction. Instead, they are a wonderful tool for your site visitors to share your site with others.
Sharing widgets also give your visitors a shortcut to "email a friend" or print your page.
Let us know if you want a Sharing Widget installed on your site!

Keep Spammers Out of Your Forms
By now you have probably filled out an online form that makes you you enter words or a string of characters before you can submit it. This process serves a very important purpose: preventing spammers from hijacking online forms to send out their spam.
CAPTCHA stands for Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart
We like to use reCaptcha we not only protect our clients' forms, we help digitize old books and newspaper articles. It's a win-win solution. Click here to learn more at ReCaptcha.

Add Flair with Photos
Adding a photo gallery to your website can add visual interest and a level of interactivity for your visitors.
Choose a dynamic gallery that is interactive and interesting
With dozens of applications and plug-ins available to create photo galleries, your viewers will expect your gallery to be dynamic and interesting.
We suggest choosing CoolIris to display your photos. CoolIris interfaces with Flickr, Picasa, Facebook and YouTube. So, you can set up and edit your own image galleries and Out of Nowhere will simply use CoolIris to display them.
Videos on YouTube.com
Adding video to a website is becoming commonplace. The question then becomes, "What is the best way to add your video?"
Right now, we love YouTube.com. Why? For several reasons:
YouTube keeps its video serving technologies constantly up-to-date, so as the internet changes, video on your site will likely always work.
The upload is easy and videos stream to the viewer quickly.
Sharing! This is the name of the game, now. YouTube facilitates viewers referring your video to friends or posting your video on social networks.
Everyone does it! From common vloggers to Hollywood, Government and Big Business, it's the place to be.
It's FREE!
